The photographs of Andrew Moore

Andrew Moore has been traveling the world, making beautiful photographs of lonely spaces. People seldom feature in these pictures, taken in Cuba, Russia, Bosnia and America. In them we see formal spaces shaped by war, isolation and bureaucracy. Moore's website has photographs from books and exhibitions taken between 1985 and the present, and also features a video section. You can read an interview with the artist about his acclaimed book, Russia, by clicking here.

Take another look at the world today.

"Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it." -- Ronald Reagan (1986)
