Guerilla Innovation - art meets invention meets architecture

Where else are you going to find a zebra crossing that's also a memorial to people killed in road accidents? Yes - they've put their names in white stripes on the ground.

Guerilla Innovation brings together a mix of technosocial trends and innovation driven by unconventional creativity, artistic interventions and hacker approaches. Entries focus on the practice of American and European activists, designers, DIY'ers etc. since their activities are well documented and easier to find.

However, guerrilla innovation can be difficult to locate and identify as it tends to be improvised and distributed. Some classic examples are: skateboard culture (thanks to surfers in California), large portions of the PC / IT revolution (thanks to hackers), the popularity of SMS (thanks to Scandinavian teenagers).

The site is run by Sebastian Campion, a conceptual designer in Denmark with a passion for making critical, innovative and conceptually strong design that generate new and alternative perspectives on everyday situations.
